Daniele Basso


nationality: Italian

True to his international vocation, Daniele Basso graduated in Business Administration both in Italy and in the USA. He took a diploma in Industrial Design at IED of Milan with a thesis titled "Mobility as a Luxury Item in the Third Millennium", drawn in cooperation with Centro Stile Lancia (the model is on display at Carrousel du Louvre, in Paris). He also attended a Marketing Management Master at ISC of Milan with a scholarship.

He worked in Paris and New York for Versace, in Milan for BGS D'Arcy and with "Advanced Design Fiat". He fathered the launch of "Italian INSTINCT" Sportswear (by Facib Spa) and of the "Parkour Shoes" project (by HBS Srl). In 2004, he was in charge of Advanced Design and Communication for Carcerano Srl. In 2006, back in his hometown Biella (I), he has started Glocal Design Studio in the premises of a historic factory along the river.

On the basis of "Think Global, Act Local", the newly established company intends to capitalize local excellences as assets on the global market and the key to well being. Considering design as a tangible area of communication, Daniele Basso works with the "language of objects" and coordinates corporate strategies, brand and product images to develop concrete projects capable of gratifying persons and stimulating plenty of sensations, perceptions, and emotions.
